Hello All,
This is Jeff from Florida. I have been "legally blind" since 1994. I have macular degeneration and glaucoma. Since 2001 I have been single again. It can be hard to met people when you don't really look disabled but you can't make see faces or make eye contact.
I like to travel and have visited many countries. I was in the Navy for 12 years before my went bad.
Now I run a website called Linkable.org in which I link to the personal websites of disabled people. It keeps me busy, but it is not as cool as Ablehere. Someday I will update it and make it more of a networking website.
Please feel free to email me, I would be happy to add a link to your website. Or just talk, it gets kinda lonely being at home so much.
I can also talk on the phone and don't mind calling overseas. I use an internet phone (MagicJack) and only pay two cents a minute for overseas calls.

hey im laura im 22 and am from yorkshire in UK id love to have a penpal or anyone to chat to! im profoundly deaf with a cochlear implant which helps me hear as normal as poss. i also have a condition called muliple michrial DNA deletions which just basiclaly means my energy genes dont work! whcih lead to me being deaf in the first place. but im still happy and i got my friends and family i love to make new friends and have a good natter! :0) |
