After spending two weeks in Nepal, I realized that I want to do something to help people in developing countries. I am planning to study international relations and foreign languages at university.
meeting new friends
Hello! I have been a member of this site for a few years and now I thought it was time to update my profile. My name is Julia and I am a 20-year-old girl from Sweden, the country in the north of Europe that is famous for its cold and dark winters. I come from a very small town in the south-western part of the country and I have lived here all my life, but I am intending to move to a bigger city next year to attend university. Life has a lot to offer and it is impossible to list all the things that I like here, but some of my interests are singing, listening to a wide variety of music, reading books and magazines, going for long walks, being out in the nature, travelling, seeing new places and learning about foreign cultures. I am totally blind and I have a display that translates everything that's on the computer screen into braille. Since 2006, I am a working member of the Swedish association for blind and visually impaired youth. I am a person who loves to try new and exciting things and I never let my disability stop me from achieving my goals. Things often take more time and sometimes problems have to be solved in a different way, but I still prefer to see possibilities instead of obstacles. Please feel free to send me a message if you want to ask something or just say hello. Anyone who wants a new friend is welcome to contact me, so you can be of any age and from anywhere in the world. Thanks for reading!
