For me to bid you all farewell.
I have done my best to keep this forum going since I joined, but look at the posts over the last week - the last month - the last few months.
What do you see?
Word games or various kinds.. Quote of the Day. Thought of the Day. Daily Weather. Blah blah and more blah.
And who posts on these threads?
Look at the names and you can count them on less than the fingers of one hand. Two, maybe three, or if you are really lucky, you might even find four names on a thread.
I'm sorry - I have done my best, but obviously my best is not good enough.
I am not resigning from this forum because I hope that sometime in the not too distant future, people might wake up and see what great possibilities there are here.
Not just treat this as a free site on which to find a penpal, or a free dating site.
Surely Karl didn't intend that when he started this forum?
Anyhow, it's been great meeting the very few people I have met here, but banging my head against a brick wall only gives me a headache.
So take care everyone who actually bothers to read this message, and thanks Karl for having set up something that unfortunately just doesn't seem to have worked.
