bread and butter pudding,
you will need,
one large baking dish-buttered,
7 slices of bread and butter,cut into 4 sqares or triangles, 1ltr of milk, 110grams--4oz of raisons or sultanas, 3 eggs, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of salt,
marmalade --optional--for an orrangey flavour,
1)preheat oven 170c-325f-gas mark 3, 2)butter the inside of the baking dish, 3)cut the buttered bread in to squares or triangles, 4)cover the bottom of the dish with a few slices of the buttered bread,then add a few currants or sultanas,keep repeating this stage until all bread and fruit are layered in the dish, 5)mix together the milk,eggs,cinnamon,and salt,then pour over the bread, 6)place a few exta pieces of buttered bread on top and press down, add a little more milk so that it rises to the level of the bread, you want the pudding to be moist but the top crusty, 7)leave to stand for 30 minutes, cover and bake for 30 minutes,
can be served hot or cold,
or you try it with added marmalade,for a tangy orangy flavour,
