Theme Parks - 2008/08/01 21:46 Having spent a day with my wife and kids at a local theme park, while I was sat there watching them on all the rides it dawned on me, There are no rides/theme parks that enable wheelchair users to take full advantage of all rides and facilities. Does anyone know of a Ride that accommodates wheelchair users?

Re:Theme Parks with wheelchairs - 2008/08/02 11:26 Well, many theme parks wheelchair users enter the ride via the ride exit and they let you on. Some rides you can get right up to the ride in your wheelchair. Then you have to be lifted on. You don't have to queue and you can have 2 helpers with you.

I love theme parks - can't help it. Rollercoasters!

Re:Theme Parks with wheelchairs - 2008/08/02 13:19 I was just wondering if anyone had ever thought of a theme park solely for the disabled only an Idea while I was passing time.

I haavent seen a theme park solely for the disabled people but I have seen a play ground solely for the disabled people. the rides had wheelchair spaces. it was pretty good play ground.

Re:Theme Parks with wheelchairs - 2008/08/04 20:19 I believe most nobility was rather prone to odd behaviour tony lol. Mostly im a nice well behaved thing. So you out in spain i take it then? Lucky you mate it,s flippin freezin on the south coast sometimes. Mind you i have still got the english countryside an all that so im not moanin. Now black leather?? Mercy?? wot silly sod told you i ever show mercy

Re:Theme Parks with wheelchairs - 2008/08/06 10:56 Oh well hunni at least we are freezin our collective arses off in England cos id fell pretty hacked off if it was this cold in spain LOL. Im down in that tiny town of Battle the one with the abbey in the middle. Lovely for the kids but i do miss the noise and bustle of home. I was born in Reading then moved to the lovely mess of white city with me sister and so onto every part of south london you care to name. Not good at satayin put me you see. It,s the quiet that does my head in here it,s so quiet i check me pulse at night . But you cant knock bringin the girls up here cos it,s a crackin little place and they benefit hugely from good schools etc. Besides im too old to run me arse off roung london like i used to. I cant anyway LOL . Well enjoy matey and big up the stud muffin!!!

Later tony, Lady M xxxxxx

Re:Theme Parks with wheelchairs - 2008/08/06 15:57 No Lady M..I adore the Battle area...Got relatives in Staplehurst,Eastbourne and Hastings..So your right in the middle.Great quality of life and total lack of Double Glazing Salesmen...plus Sunday morning God Botherers .
Im more of a Kentishman than a Londoner..but my work takes me throughout Londons finer areas ( Old Kent Road,Southwark Park etc)
When Im ready to relax I will probably move to an arc from Headcorn to Brighton ..... Until then its work ,play, etc xxxxx
