Re:Disabled people at the gym - 2007/06/05 00:40 Hiya,
My illness keeps me in bed a lot and I also have to use a wheelchair when I am able to get up, so like yourself Im unable to do much exercises. So, I went and got a three pack of toning bands, and I have to say, they are really good. There is three different colour coded bands offering different levels of resistance. There is an insruction leaflet which shows you what exercises you can do with them.

Any Boots do them, and they are really cheap too.
Hope this helps...Good luck, Dedi.

Re:Disabled people at the gym - 2007/06/05 16:01 I belong to Aspire training centre in Stanmore, they have a gym. All the equipment can be used by either ABs or Dis. The benches can be moved so wheelchairs can access the machines. The staff are all really friendly and helpful as well.
