Voice recorder - 2008/08/29 15:23 I am looking for an mp3 voice recorder to use when I go to college.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of these and was wondering how easy you thought it was to use.

Are these machines able to transfer the files into pc's?

Thanks

Re:Voice recorder - 2008/08/29 15:44 Hi there

Never used myself but having had to buy something for someone else, we went for the most common known software called Dragon Naturally Speaking 9. This allows you to dictate directly to the computer as you would expect to after carrying out the training required for it to recognise your voice and how you speak.

There are different versions of this software and one you may find the most beneficial is the Mobile version, as this comes with the dictating machine and from what I've seen its a nice piece of kit. I understand that you can speak into this say during your classes and then link it into your computer and it transfers it.

Have a look at the software website: http://www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/

There appears to be a later version now available but not sure if there is a mobile version.

The best deal we found at the time was £150 from Amazon for Version 9 Mobile:

Hope this helps
