Herceptin
Apparently, though I can't see it myself, the chemo reduced the tumours by around 26%. the ones in my neck I can still feel, especially when I cough, or laugh or swallow.
So it has been decided that Herceptin may help, not to reduce them, but to "keep them on on hold" for the time being, until some other wacky idea is thought up.
for those of you who can have NHS treatment, count yourself really lucky. This herceptin is costing me around £12,000 per three weeks! (one treatment every three weeks).
If it works, and we wont know until the CTscan results etc, then my death sentence could be increased by around 2 months. Which means that instead of the 4-6 months originally, I could have around 6-8 months, which means of course, that I might make Xmas this year....
Just keeping you all in the loop so to speak
