Re:our daily post - 2009/08/10 18:10
My neighbour brought in my mail, and I checked my credit card statements. My local [Israel only] one was fine, but some bar steward has been using my International Visa credit card in England where I haven't been since just after the Gulf War in 1991. Come to think of it, I haven't been out of the country since then.
National Express [Birmingham] two charges - £27.90 and £44.10
Tesco Stores [Beckton] two charges - £50.80 and £39.73
and a part payment on a BT bill [Newcastle] £69.69
Whoever it was, I hope their next National Express journey makes them travel sick, that their purchases from Tesco already made them sick, and that BT cuts off their telephone/broadband.
I've been onto the Fraud Department of my card company. They will deal with this and will be refunding me the above amounts within the week. In the meantime my card has been canceled by them, shredded by me, and they say I should get a new one in three or four days.
I just don't understand it. That card has never been out of my possession, and for anything purchased here I use my Isracard.
Just makes me feel sick.
