Wow, I'm surprised you have anytime left in a day! What's the furthest radio you can get?

What ham rig do you have, what bands do you work, what antenna?

When I was a kid, about 60 years ago, I wanted a Ham license. The theory was fairly easy, but I am dyslexic and couldn't learn Morse code. Of course, it isn't necessary now. I studied Electrical Engineering and with a little study could probably pass the test. How much would it cost to get started with a small mobile unit?

hi ed

it depends on what band frequencys antemma radio type.

costed me about 250.00 for 2 meter 70Cm 5 watt radio,
plus programming software.

i've got around 500.00 invested in a 50 watt mobile power-supply
coax antenna . i just replaced the coax last summer 150.oo for low-
loss coax 25.00 x 6 pack for one of the guys to switch the coax (labor charge)
Had a TKR Last year no going up on the roof ladders anymore :)
