According to Spokane Valley police, a drug dealer was arrested when a resident notified authorities of unusual activity in the parking lot of an apartment building. Reportedly, the resident observed the same vehicle parked in the lot over the last few days and the same two individuals were always sitting in it. The resident allegedly became concerned about possible drug dealing because of the number of people who came and went from the vehicle.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the complex and located the vehicle in the north lot. Tracy Thornton, 50, and Amanda Gillaspy, 29, were reportedly sitting in the vehicle when police approached. Allegedly, when Gillaspy got out of the car, the officer noticed a glass pipe and baggy with a white substance near the driver's seat. Gillaspy allegedly denied dealing in drugs and told the deputy he could search her car. Reportedly, the deputy recovered the pipe and baggy which tested positive for methamphetamine and
a cigarette pack which contained heroin, pills, methamphetamine and hashish. Thornton was booked on 3 charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver and Gillaspy was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
