I know super old but worth mentioning
In the past, I've bought a number of games that have cute stories and interesting puzzles like Lil Misfortune and Fran Bow, but then they both have some dark stories attached.

I haven't tried Big Brain Academy but I'll check it out.

I also like Tetris. The game is simple but fun and engaging.

Audiogames can be good for challenging yourself to think and use your brain and senses in new ways.
