I'm Brian. I'm a poet and deeply romantic. The world is so full of beautiful energy.

I do wish to gain friends to share the ins and outs of the existential status in an imperfect body. The struggle for recognition as a valid person is so much harder.

I have a condition that affects sight hearing and balance. It is uniquely mine as no one seems to know what it is.

As a result there is substantial social isolation.

I'd love to meet someone that I can share words dreams and life stories.

There is something special about lying entwined and gazing into the star studded universe...feeling the energy of two combined

I'd love to make friends, get some penpals...touch base with some amazing people.

I'm Mary, a university student probably somewhere in my 20s, and I am going AbSoLUTelY INsAne because my brain just won't work like it used to.

I was recently diagnosed as autistic, and am just trying to cope, adapt, and move on in a world that has left me far behind.

I work at a grocery store, which is enjoyable sometimes. I never thought I'd end up working here (as a youngster, I thought veterinarian or surgeon, though I keep having to lower the bar), but this is okay.

In the summer I enjoy biking. A few years ago, I had a seasonal position at a wildlife rehabilitation, and biked to and from work, for a total of ~40 km a day! I got into rollerblading, too. If you want weird animal pictures and stories... I've got 'em.

Lately, university takes up most of my time (even though I only am taking 4 courses instead of the usual 5, as I am really slow in the head these days), but I hope that once I get myself sorted out enough to have some fun, I can return to being outdoorsy and active.

Depression / Anxiety
i really want someone to write to/ talk to because i have been feeling really alone/lonely for a long time.

i have anxiety/depression amongst other things. I'm mostly looking for someone who will understand, someone i can connect with; someone with whom i can relate. I'm not looking for romance (bleh) or ... simply learning about someone else's hobbies or learning about a different culture. Oh, it's not that i mind learning about people/getting to know new people of course. it's just that i don't feel like i have the mental capacity for surface-y relationships right now or simply 'new friends'. Sorry. :/ The usual "How are you?" "What do you do?" "What do you enjoy doing?" type things when you get to know new people etc can be really draining (especially when I don't feel like I enjoy very much anymore - i have nothing to offer as a 'fun' friend.) I want to skip past that and go into the things we can't usually talk to "normal"/ "neurotypical" people about. And I guess that's why I'm here. My 'issues' are a big part of me and I think someone who suffers from similar issues would understand better as opposed to people you meet in a regular social setting. I'm not saying "regular" people would never understand. It's just hard(er?) to get to that point, especially when you're (I'm) wearing a social mask yourself (myself).

I guess I want a deeper connection? not just the perfunctory stuff and the niceties. someone that i can tell about my day - or well, we could share stuff about our days, vent about our problems. We'd laugh about jokes that only we'd get. We'd talk about obscure things that only we'd be interested in.

or maybe i'm being totally idealistic here. Ha ha ha. -_- i think i used to have friends like these though, kinda. but i lost them. cuz i'm no good at keeping friends. :/ lousy me. someone write me?

I had a brain stem stroke with locked in syndrome on November 14, 2001 that left me paralyzed from the neck down. Today, I have partial paralysis on my right side, live independently, went to grad school (MPH), working, driving, in other words I'm LIVING! I want to do my part by spreading hope that recovery with ANYTHING is possible.

Shran Andorian Blue.!

What else would you like?
I don't know what more.

Shran... who?

Ok... I looked it up!

'True blue' is supposed to derive from the blue cloth that was made at Coventry, England in the late middle ages. The town's dyers had a reputation for producing material that didn't fade with washing, that is, it remained 'fast' or 'true'. The phrase 'as true as Coventry blue' originated then and is still used (in Coventry at least).

In November I had an emergency tracheostomy put in place. Since then I have moved into a private nursing home in Bournemouth, however the only other people with tracheostomies are unable to communicate as I am - this has led to me feeling isolated and so I am here on the search for someone else in a similar condition to me. I'm hoping to find someone I can talk with who understands what it is like to have a tracheostomy.

Hi, I’m a kind caring, honest person looking for friendship locally, but unlikely I think, being such a small country I’m in. Normal dating sites just don’t work with a disability sadly.

Hello, I am French. I had some learning disabilities, but I speak 3 languages, French, English and Greek. I like to exchange with people from other cultures, and possibly meet one day. Eventually I would like to meet a young lady with common interests.
