Woman Goes Underwater in Wheelchair (Incredible Story)

Woman's Underwater Journey on Wheelchair - Paralympics - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Freedom - the first word that comes to mind when witnessing the joyous "Creating the Spectacle".

Created by performance artist Sue Austin, Creating the Spectacle is a series of underwater acrobatic shows using the world's first self-propelled underwater wheelchair.
Audience members are invited to witness the performance in the water with the artist, or poolside.

Showing the audience that disabilities should not be seen as limitations, or as Sue puts it, "viewing the world from a different perspective inspires them to be free to explore new experiences."

The project was commissioned by the Unlimited program through Arts Council England, as part of the London 2012 Festival. The festival encourages collaborations between deaf and disabled artists with conventional organizations, and is staged alongside the London 2012 Paralympic Games at the Southbank Center from August 30th through September 9th.

What do you think of 'Creating the Spectacle'? Which of your self-imposed limitations you'd like to overcome?
