My computer was hacked and deleted all my accounts. It has taken a long time and a lot of money to even try to get back anywhere.

My old laptop was hacked and a virus put on it so I know how it must of felt. It was so bad I had to get myself a new laptop the one I use now, so I also understand the cost in money.
As for people not knowing if it's you or not, that's a case of trust. Your friends and family will know if it's you or not as they know your ways and how you talk, little things.
