Some years ago a young care assistant was tending to an old chap who was having breathing problems,this was due to the fact he had been a miner all his life.He had moved into a care home with his wife some months ago ,sadly his wife passed away soon after they moved in.The care assistant made him comfortable then went to get him a cup of tea,when she returned the old gentleman had passed away.She went to open the window to allow his spirit free passage, and saw a face looking in,the room was on the third floor so it could not have been a passer-by.Was it his wife come to collect him or a figment of the care assistants imagination.Who knows!!:ohmy: :ohmy:

The trial and punishment of Ruth Ellis became notorious as she was the last woman in England to be executed.

The death penalty in the UK was suspended in 1965 and permanently removed in 1970.

Ruth Ellis' family campaigned for her murder conviction to be reduced to manslaughter on the grounds of provocation. Through the Criminal Cases Review Commission they brought the case to the Court of Appeal in September 2003.

They argued Ellis was suffering \"battered woman syndrome\". She had suffered a miscarriage just 10 days before the killing after David Blakely had punched her in the stomach.

But the appeal judges ruled she had been properly convicted of murder according to the law as it stood at the time. The defence of diminished responsibility did not then exist.


After all this it appears she wanders a former workplace of hers in london. The manager is well aware of her prescence due to perfume and lingering smoke smells that drift round an apparently empty club! She did not die there but apparently chose to return to it as it was a long term place of employment for her. Thats really all i know.

It just shows how unfair our legal system can be:angry:

I know Dorrie hunni today she would have been given manslaughter or even a psych treatment as misscarraige messes with your head like mad poor woman. He sounds like a git!!
