Just looking to chat about life and whatever else. Yes, I'm a follower of Jesus. Yes, I'll gladly talk with you about anything, including the Bible, the gospel, life, whatever without judgment.
I'm an introvert (INFJ) who loves people. I'm curious, ask a lot of questions, do a lot of reading, writing, and learning in general. I can often be found outside, near water or hiking. I can also be found exploring museums of all shapes, sizes, and types.
Let's chat!

My name is Rick and I invented the GO! Anywhere® Portable Shower Chair line to solve a problem I had that no other chairs on the market solved.
For nearly 36 years since my injury, traveling anywhere for more than a couple days posed some serious problems. On short trips I could stuff my non-portable shower chair into my van. Although I could usually get my chair over a toilet, rarely did I have access to a roll-in shower. I grew wary of the embarrassment from having a porter push my potty chair through parking lots and hotel lobbies. Like me, you’ve probably discovered that they are not easy to disguise.

I am here to share my experience of living a life filled with joy and meaning while being disabled.
My mission is to show what's possible when you're disabled - you'd be amazed!
Most of the stuff we know about treating disabilities, revolves around the physical side of things.
But very little is said about what to do when you are disabled:
- how to go about making friends?
- what about dates? How can you go to 3/4 real dates per week?
- most importantly, how can YOU shine and make people see past your disability?
I thought a lot about it, and I'm here to help you.
I also spread awareness about disability. If you want, take a look at my website and discover how YOU can live a better life while being disabled :
www.smashing-disability.com
I'm working on yet another guide right now for the disabled, filled with practical tools to live your life the way you want it.
There is so much to be said about it, and yet so little info!
Let's connect!

I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 50 years, and lost my sight to being a bad kid who thumbed her moon pie at all the doctors. I have lived most of my life in NY, and have been here in the sort-of-south, since my husband passed away, a few years ago. Wouldn't mind finding a worm hole to a shining moment, past or future. I do still enjoy all the good things like books, music, sharing a munch, having a good laugh, and of course, shopping, both in the flesh and in the ether. I greatly value courtesy, kindness and good humor--yes, I am a throwback to a lost age.
