I have not put a lot of effort into this site as life has a funny way of getting in the way as i am always doing some project or another, i dont let the grass grow under my feet....
I am in a less frantic phase now, my garden is now done and ready for the summer and my home has improved in the last few months, central heating and a posh new wet room, but saying that i really need to have a good excuse for me time and thats not easy alone........
I would love someone to just say 'Hey fancy going to see such and such a film' or fancy meeting up for a Sunday lunch and then let's go for a drive and explore the countryside.....
I want to be able to say, come on round for lunch and i will cook you your favorite meal. You get the idea, in other words....Somebody stop me!!!! .......
I have been divorced for many years and have had various good friendships. But since moving have had to start again finding new friends. I am solvent, emotionally and academically intelligent, now if that has not scared you off stick with it as it gets worse............
I am empathic, have good common sense, and do not suffer fools gladly. I have good ethics and values, I am a spiritual person, and artistic, and have a good sense of humour. I am very positive, philosophical and a good home maker....
I enjoy the company of like minded people, and am very down to earth and realistic.....
I have had a very interesting life, travelled, lived and worked abroad for many years. I am originally from the far south of England, so a foreigner t' these parts......
I have a compromised immune system which has left me with multiple diseases, none of which stop me from living my life, I am fiercely independent, even though disabled and overweight which I am trying to redress, as my disease, medication and an inability to exercise has left me with this struggle..
What I really would like is to find a friend.....
Life is rushing by and i am working and not playing and it really is making me a dull person. Am currently doing a sewing class at Adult education, trying to make and create some very complicated cushions.... Now if that isnt a sign of a sad life i dont know what is..... But in saying that i do love creating a nice home, and am certainly no stranger to shabby chic, or 60 second makeovers... :)
So if your interested in sharing any of this for an hour or two then let me know....( And I didnt mean making cushions so don't worry.. :)
I am limited with the walking thing but other than that i am capable of great things and am more able than many of those who are able bodied who can do it all and often achieve nothing...
I own my own car, and pay my own way.....
I am NOT looking for someone who is desperate for a visa or wants a mature womans sexual experience. Or bored and looking for any port in a storm......................
What i am looking for is just a nice ethical old fashioned genuine human being. Some one who is also a good listener and likes the quieter more tranquil life, who lives in the moment and enjoys the here and now, and allows the world to just unfold, and loves beauty in all its aspects....

I have had active rheumatoid arthritis for 45 years & it's so severe now that I'm bedbound & use a wheelchair, transfer with a Hoyer lift. Plus I broke my right leg 6 1/2 years ago & it has never healed & never will. I have a live in caregiver.
I have ran a nonprofit snail mail pen pal club for the disabled for 22 years. It's called Handicapped Friends Pen Pal Club & I publish a quarterly newsletter for the club.
