I didn't know which condition to pick for my type of disability, I have a few to choose from but musculoskeletal disorder(s) probably covers it best... I think perhaps it's better just to say that I'm always in pain and it varies day to day, as does my ability to do things due to mobility issues. I can walk a little with a stick for very short distances (further if I can link arms/hold hands with someone), I use a rollator but also have a power chair too...and if anyone out there can help me with the confidence to use it more, I'd really appreciate it! :)

Hi, my name is George A., I have cerebral palsy and quadriplegia. I am a Christian and use a power wheelchair. I like to use my computer and use a special mouse to control it. I enjoy meeting new people my age in the community. I am interested in participating in recreation, leisure, and fun activities. I have a younger sister and brother. Friends are important to me. I consider myself a self-advocate and like making my own decisions.
I have dreams of hosting weekly online meetings with my fellow Christians. We choose a chapter and verse in the bible to read. We work together to find topics to talk about for everybody that are interested and later have open discussions with our group.
I particularly enjoy dumping buckets of water on camp counselors at Recreation Unlimited in summer time. I’m interested only in platonic friendships. I like to talk and hangout with my friends. I would like to travel in the future. However, it is extraordinarily difficult to bring my equipment to use when I travel. I consider traveling to be one of my most cherished hobbies as I get so excited to see people I know from years ago.

I'm a Married forty-year-old father of a three year old that adventurer who has spent my entire life exploring the world. Due to some limitations, I can't do as much as I used to, and I've lost many skills along the way. I've also lost many friends. Now, I'm starting a new chapter in my life, focusing on my new skills and hoping to find new friends to share them with me. Now granted most of my adventures involved whatever reruns of MASH come on. I'm getting to the point to being able to go out more often thanks to a new wheelchair and would truly like to socialize again. I have a cornucopia of interests and I love learning new things.
