I do wish to gain friends to share the ins and outs of the existential status in an imperfect body. The struggle for recognition as a valid person is so much harder.
I have a condition that affects sight hearing and balance. It is uniquely mine as no one seems to know what it is.
As a result there is substantial social isolation.
