We watched a veterinary reality show on TV tonight. This vet's office is in Texas and one client brought in a 7-year-old dachshund for hernia repair and spay. The vet noticed the dachshund was also paralyzed in the rear legs which is pretty common in older dachshunds. After the surgery, he ordered a wheelchair for the dog and it had a pink frame with black straps. On the surgery follow up visit the dog was fitted to the wheelchair and she took to it like a veteran. Now the owner takes his very fashionable lady dachshund on walks with the rest of the dogs.
