I have emphysema which is not on the list of disabilities. I use a Scooter to get around. Can't walk but about 20 steps, then can't breathe. Use Oxygen as needed. Am an outdoors girl, and it's difficult being tied to oxygen. Spend most days at home. Go to WalMart once a month just to get OUT. Just looking for someone to correspond with in email. Used to travel with a camper. Sure miss it now.
Spring brings back travel memories. Don't even drive a car now. Scooter won't fit in a car. I travel by handicap
city buses. And I love cats, but don't have one at present time.

I work in a Center for Independent Living and thought this would be a good site to get to know people for networking. I am leading our Peer support and am working on starting a disability youth program.
Personally I am wanting to get more involved with parents and students to help as I can with IEP's.
I am an amputee. Left leg and about half my right foot. Also died once and was revived. Sometimes I get a little isolated. So just looking to expand my world and get a new view of the world. Any subject is ok but I am known for being over opinionated. Yet I am a bit softer since I died. Anyhow hope this is fun

I'm 46 with a very good job but in need of friends to hold myself together after the work day is done. That's when I have my hardest times when I'm alone. It may sound trivial to some so please don't judge. I endured 13 years on kidney dialysis, and now have gotten a kidney transplant. Starting to adjust and meet people. I am well, active, and exercise daily.
