Depends what your requirements are.....If you want a non-contact ,non-confrontational,non-physical-feeling relationship with someone it might be perfect....Although in my view it cant be satisfying in any real way......cxxxx;)

it is possible I think, only because they would not see each others bad side and there would be no commitment

well.for starters each could do their own thing when off line...no moneys to fork out...no bills to pay and live a world of dreams...lol

Still, for some...company for each other can make it worthwhile...lol

Sorry Smiler,back to seriouse response....The one main problem that I can see is the differing levels of effort afforded by the two participants.....
If one has a bad day in the Real world its only natural to think....I cant be too bothered tonight.....Or,how does someone growing up and living in Mexico relate to a mother of 5 living in a block of flats in Bethnel Green.....Bit too much pretence for my liking xxxx :whistle:

One has to start somewhere and if GROUND RULES are established first, and in the end it's only a online friendship that could blossoms into a attachment but that would be breaking that thin red line of reality.
somebody who's always at the other end of the pc's modem to chat with, someone to share one's thoughts, a online confidant, someone who listens to your woes..oh the good happy times included..Some ppls just want a close friend to chat with without the complications of the reality of it all..
To share a problem with a 'devils advocate' can be a relief to the other person, and possibly broaden their way of tackling a subject / problem..
