Does a big age difference in realationship matter

If there is a big age difference between two people in a realationship does it really matter or is age just a number.

My last relationship before I met my husband was with an older man than me, it didn't effect the relationship we broke up because he was seeing someone else behind my back!! My husband is 3 years older then me and we have no problems. My mother is in a relationship with a man 10years her senior and they have been going strong for over 10yrs!! So the answer to your question from me is no,an age difference doesn't effect a relationship.

My husband is 75 and I am 57 and we have recently celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary - so I guess not!!

I don't think it matters. I think I married someone a bit too young for me and he is about 2 years older than me. However, we have managed to bumble through 33 years of marriage. I'm kind of a handful, so maybe someone older and more emotionally stable would have been better for me.

I reckon age does matter. But dirty older men know that they can get sexual life from an much younger women due to majority of all men who are in relationships like this are rich and no young women without morals is going to turn down an guy older than her for his inheritance if he should die before her its what an lot of these relationships are mostly about and not about true love because true love is when you accept someone for who they are and not what they have. Also because there are morals in true love and loving someone just because they have money is not morality or true love.

You have it spot on, I agree, what about young men and older ladies? Can that work out or isn it bound to fail when a pretty young girl catches his eye, the Shirley Valentine syndrome I guess. :huh:

So you are saying your not including someone you like very much who is great because of age is that night excluding people with disabilities from everyday life? Yes, I understand what the last two people have said.

well i feel that age is but a number and its your heart that says weather you love someone not a number.

If I was in love with someone I would'nt care if they had a disability or not. I also would'nt care if they were younger than me rich or poor.It is the person that counts nothing else, but that's just me others may disagree.
